Soho Farmhouse

Great Tew, Oxfordshire

Set in the Oxfordshire countryside, Soho Farmhouse is as far away as conventional farm life can get.

LOCATION: Great Tew, Oxfordshire

TRAVEL: Approximately 2.5 hours by car from London.

History:

In 2015 under the stewardship of Nick Jones, Soho Farmhouse was born. Set within 100 acres of natural Oxfordshire countryside Soho House’ ventured out of town and into, unchartered, rural surroundings. Within reaching distance to London, it is the place the city crowd can get their ‘country’ on whilst keeping the city close and city comforts even closer.

Since its inception in 2015, Soho Farmhouse has grown horticulturally and physically in scale. Having first visited in 2015, it has been mesmerising watching this ‘farm’ develop, expands and adapts to changing landscapes. From a business perspective, the owners have looked to maximise revenue through the expansion of rooms and whilst doing so they have tried to capture a wider audience by providing accommodation that allows greater accessibility, relatively speaking. It is important to note that the ‘accessible’ accommodation still commands approximately £350 per night.

Property & Facilities:

Boasting 100 rooms, Soho Farmhouse is far from your typical farm. It has several types of rooms from ‘Piglets’ to 3 Bedroom Cabins and lots in between. There is also the option to exclusively hire two cottages on the property for private parties or groups. Aside from an abundance of rooms, there is also plenty of offer. Guests can enjoy access to the a generous gym, swimming pool, tennis courts, cinema, horse riding, clay pigeon shooting as well as an extensive spa and wellness area. As well as this, there are 3 restaurants, lounges, bars and multiple outdoor areas with roaring fires to keep you warm in the winter. Additionally, there is my favourite, Blakes Deli where you can buy typical deli items, cakes and tea/coffee’s to take on walks or even back to your room. On the topic of walking, there is plenty of ground to cover
